Golden Arrows striker Knox Mutizwa has been handed the Absa Premiership Goal of the Month award for August.

The Zimbabwean striker's cracking strike against Maritzburg United on the opening weekend of the season was voted as the month's best goal and will no doubt be considered for the Absa-lutely Awesome Goal of the Season accolade.

The Premier Soccer League presented the trophy at Arrows' training ground this morning, but the player was not available to accept the gong due to personal reasons. Coach Clinton Larsen accepted the prize on his behalf.

The award will certainly give Mutizwa confidence to improve his haul of two goals this season.
