Crucial Dembare meeting cancelled

THE meeting between the Dynamos management and players set for yesterday did not go ahead as scheduled.

It is understood that players are still owed part of their salaries and bonuses for the 2017 season, an issue that was top of the agenda.

Coach Lloyd Mutasa confirmed that the meeting had been cancelled.

"The meeting was about money issues and we cancelled because it would not make any difference since the money expected is the prize money.

"It's too early to have the meeting because we have to give them time since the awards were held on Friday, they hadn't had any time to prepare," said Mutasa.

"We have some players whose contracts are expiring, I think they will be comfortable in talking about their plans when they are paid.

"So right now we don't know who we will be working with. But we will know that by Christmas," he said.

He added: "We will try to manage our situation so that we know who will be remaining. It's good for us so that we know those we will be working with.

"I don't know who because some will be having talks behind the scenes because their contracts expires on 31 December," he added.
