AFTER watching his side score three goals inside eight minutes to win the Chibuku Super Cup at Rufaro yesterday, Harare City coach Philani "Beefy" Ncube claimed that not showing too much emotion is part of his DNA.

Following a subdued first half, in which How Mine controlled proceedings, the Sunshine Boys came back a rejuvenated side and scored their first in the 66th through Farai Madhanaga who headed home a Martin Vengesayi cross.

Vengesayi was the provider again seven minutes later, this time feeding William Manondo who slid the ball under a diving Donovan Bernard.

A minute later, it was 3-0, Manondo completing his brace after he got to the end of an inviting cross from Madhanaga.

Peter "Rio" Moyo pulled one back for Chikurupati in the 84th minute.

And after impressive referee Nomore Musundire blew his whistle, Ncube showed very little emotion despite having wished to meet How Mine in the final.

"I don't really show that I am happy, it's in my DNA. I just smile but inside I am more than 200 percent ecstatic," said Ncube.

"One thing for sure you need to congratulate the boys, the way they played, they were positive. First half we were down but in the second half I was amazed with the way they came out. A cup game is not about the performance, it is about the result."

The City gaffer revealed that he challenged Manondo to impose himself more on the game during his half time address.

"I told him I was not seeing him and that he needed to make his presence felt in that game. I am glad that he reacted and scored two important goals," said Ncube.

Manondo shed tears after scoring to continue a rich vein of form in the competition.

"I think scoring in the Chibuku Cup final is something that is in me, I am happy to have helped the team win this final," he said.

How Mine coach Kaindu felt the Premier Soccer League should have staged the final at a neutral venue and blamed the financial constraints bedevilling his club for yesterday's result.

"It was going to be an advantage for Harare City playing at home," moaned Kaindu.

"It was very difficult to lose a game after dominating it; the opponents just capitalised on the mistakes we made.

"Stress came in, it was always going to be difficult for us. You have a situation where you are going to a cup final and a player is looking for transport money to get to where you are supposed to meet, it haunts you and you lose concentration.

"But I give credit to the players, they have worked under difficult conditions, we needed money than anything else but it was not to be."

How Mine players have reportedly gone unpaid for several months amid rumours that some former executive members are pushing for the team to be disbanded.
