Open letter to Minister of Sports Kirsty Coventry

Dear,

I am humbled to learn that as one of the greatest daughters in our land you have been elevated to a position of authority as the Minister of Sports for our beloved nation of Zimbabwe. Excellency is the least of words that can describe your life as a female athlete in Southern Africa in general and Zimbabwe in particular.

I have a plea to you my Minister. Zimbabwe soccer national team needs you today. Sunday Chidzambwa has done a lot so far in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers beating Liberia and sharing spoils with Congo.

The warriors mentor Chidzambwa has been calling our fellow brothers "THE BRITISH BRIGADE", Tendayi Darikwa and co but their documents are not being processed. These players are playing in professional leagues in Europe and they will add value to our national team. Already we have Knowledge Musona, Nakamba, Nhamoinesu, Billiat and others as our arsenal but if you can assist in getting documents for the "THE BRITISH BRIGADE", I see Zimbabwe raising.

My Minister please communicate with your new colleague the Minister of Home Affairs and offer our brothers the documents. The upcoming match against DRC is just around the corner, please intervene and make it a reality. It might be hard to get the documents faster but please facilitate the route in collaboration with other relevant ministries.

As a concerned Citizen I know that Sports brings people together. Zimbabwe has talent, but it lacks political and economic support. You are a sports person and I am convinced you really understand this view.

Please make this more than your priority. Zimbabweans need each other for success. Other African countries are using the same strategy of bringing the best talent.

In you we believe.
