Zimbabwe is rising

In this progressive (baby footsteps at most) moment of rebuilding and rebranding our nation, we find ourselves in even more deepening crisis. Some of those looming up include shortage of cement, continued cash shortages, uncontrollable rising of prices for commodities, uprising discontinuity of love for one another among imposter politicians and the general populace. On the latter, shall we for the love of our people unite and despite our differences foster a unified plan to uplift our nation and importantly the livelihoods of our people. I dislike to say that so far there is complete lack of political ‘will’ to stop all these mishaps. Sabotage is playing a key role in all sectors especially banking where a few individuals continue to dictate the suffering of our fellow people. I hope this will change with the new Cabinet.

I ponder, how can we allow retailers and outlets, at will, dictate the value of money i.e. depending on the system you use to pay and whether it is a bond note or a US$? The governor just sit in his luxury RBZ office overlooking all these mishaps with no apparent control of any- wake up Mr Govenor and show some seriousness and dedication. Otherwise we begin to wonder why you are there and what you really do for our lovely Zimbabwe?

Overall our systems failed us and continue to fail us. We have to wake up from this denigrating dream and work in unison. It not only requires political will but the will of every individual. We have to collectively say no to corruption and leaders in this arena, no matter their political affiliation or role, must be made accountable and face the full wrath of law. We cannot continue to talk and talk BUT we now than never before MUST walk the talk. I urge the so-called new dispensation to start to show some seriousness on this aspect and be a true new dispensation. Having taken power for over 8 months, we have not seen that political will to curb corruption 100% and measures to mitigate cash shortages.

We need to see willingness to add value to our government and the recently appointed cabinet has to rethink and do away with the old ways of doing business, you have to be doers, join the new world order of creationist, and innovators, people with ideal, realistic and measurable objectives and accountable for their actions to the public they serve. Let us as a people of Zimbabwe unite for our nation’s progress. God bless you all and may God bless our nation, Zimbabwe.
