Emmerson Mnangagwa: Reputation for brutality and corruption

Corruption

There is a general consensus amongst Zimbabweans that if Mnangagwa is serious about corruption he must start with self-introspection, for example the missing $15billion and some of the heads of militaries, Chiwenga is also included in the group of criminals. Despite Mugabe being over throw through a coup, Mugabe goes away with more than $10million handshake plus complete benefit, it's a criminal empire dressed in a coup. It was a part of a deal that led to his resignation.

Bad Reputation

Mnangagwa is renounced as a person of questionable reputation, ruthlessness, merciless, heartless, cruelty, uncaring.  He has occupied position of influence since 1980, from Minister of State Security, Minister of Justice, Minister of Finance, Minister of Rural Housing and Chairman of Joint Operations Command (JOC).

  • During 1980's Mnangagwa played a key role in Gukurahundi, massacres, that killed over 20 000 innocent civilians in Matabeleland. He is also on an international warrant in the ICC for the crimes of genocide committed against the people of Matabeleland.
  • In 1983 all the properties were forcible taken from Zapu by Mugabe regime. It was Mnangagwa who was the chief architect at the fore front of the seizure of properties.
  • In 2000 Mnangagwa and his cabinet led the campaign of violence against white famers, evicted from their farms, land seizure, properties burnt, others dead, others crippled for life.
  • The UN reports in 2002 & 2003 Mnangagwa was identified as one of illegal mineral exploiters in DRC. He has been linked into such as illegal gold and DRC blood diamonds. Mnangagwa a long-standing UN investigation into looting of the Congo's mineral wealth.
  • In 2004, the Zanu-PF politburo launched in, an investigation into reported massive theft of party fund. Solomon Mujuru was appointed to lead the investigation, before he could present his final report Mujuru died in unexplained inferno fire, that has been blamed on Mnangagwa.
  • In 2000-2006 further human rights were abused by Mnangagwa & Zanu-PF government deployed the police and army to destroy homes and businesses of ordinary people in urban areas known as Operation Murambatsvina meaning "remove dirty".
  • Recently in 2008 elections, it was Mnangagwa notorious boys who were at the forefront of land invasion in Zimbabwe that resulted to unaccounted number of death, displacement, detaining, torture, imprisonment as well as, forced to exile.
  •  August 2017 Mnangagwa was involved in a multi-million dollars chrome deal, involving dodgy South African investor illegal granted permission to import fuel duty-free.
  • Other accusation against Mnangagwa his alleged involvement in illegal gold and diamond mining that has helped to fund Zanu-PF regime and him a wealthy man.
  • Again in 2016 and 2017 Mnangagwa has been linked to an underground illegal gold mining, that led to murder, killing and violence in Kwekwe Midlands Province.

Mugabe was not stealing alone Mnangagwa & Zanu-PF all of a sudden, they want us to believe that Mugabe was the source of our problem on his own. Mugabe preceded every organ of the State meeting were decisions were made collective. Surely, they should be such thing called "collective responsibility". It is perhaps remembering that Manawa managed to enter the thrown through the backdoor, aided by the military. His own party is on record saying he is an unelectable leader. He draws his support from the military and intelligence, since these are the key positions he has occupied since 1980.  In that regard, will it be advisable for one to put their faith on an individual whose hands are dripping with blood?  Obviously, the answer is in the negative.
