MDC-T: The big tent agenda

According to Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai, its an initiative or a program that is aimed at bringing together all democratic and progressive forces in Zimbabwe, who yearn for a better Zimbabwe.

Admitably, I was one of the skeptics of the big tent agenda, albeit, having known the person Dr Morgan Tsvangirai for more than two decades, I have learnt to come to terms with the idea. Morgan Tsvangirai is a democrat par excellent, selflessness soul, whose dream is to see a transformed and a democratic land of Nehanda, Mzilikazi and Kaguvi. Tsvangirai a man blessed with a heart to forgive and forget, an attribute that is alien among most living beings.

The Big tent agenda rose to prominence soon after the desperate and failed honey moon type coup de tat by the not so intelligent, Tendai Biti and his lieutenant, whom most of them are victims of gullibility. The idea is to avail a political home to those who have found themselves in the wilderness, as a result of being fooled by Biti's fruitless orange project.

Of much interest are the victims of the former revolutionary party Zanu pf's this week so called Congress, which has been described by one of the fractured party's factional leader as a "Charade"

A challenging question that has been raised by concerned Citizens, is, will MDCT extent the Big Tent initiative to the victims of Zanu pf's "charade" which started this Tuesday? The answer is construed by the definition of the big tent agenda. According to Dr. Morgan Tsvangirai, the idea is to accommodate all democratic and progressive forces within Zimbabwe, who wishes to see a democratic and prosperous Zimbabwe.

At the same time, we need to have it in mind that the "charade" will establish a clique of disgruntled members within the so called revolutionary party. Some of them may be attracted to the Big tent as a fix to the Congress outcome.

As the tent is open to every Zimbabwean, we also need to guard the tent from being hijacked by disgruntled members of the sun set party. Disgruntled, but not sincere to the plight of our people.

Lastly, let me wish Zanu PF a successful "charade"
