THERE will be no more liberalism in Zanu-PF in Manicaland because cases of indiscipline are increasing and creating fissures within the ruling party, the party's provincial chairman, Michael Madiro, has said.

He said his the party would not hesitate to take action against individuals for indiscipline and creating chaos. He said they had made headway in a few hearings involving party cadres who had gone astray.

"(Dorothy) Mabika is responsible for disciplinary issues as the vice chairperson in the party," he said.

"We had a few disciplinary hearings a few days ago for some party cadres. We have been too liberal for a long time, but we have now reached a point where we say this is enough; people should be disciplined. This was also the point at which some party members who had gone astray started returning to the right path," he said.

Madiro said they had set up a team to handle disciplinary cases in the province. He said the team would target "hotspots" in the province where some Zanu-PF members were failing to abide by the party's principles.

"We want the team to make sure that those districts start moving in the right direction," he said.

Madiro called for unity within the party saying Manicaland province should not be known for factionalism and indiscipline. He warned party members against relying on social media for information, saying Zanu-PF was guided by its principles and constitution.
