A Chiweshe woman was left with egg on her face at Chief Makope's village court on Saturday after she was convicted of lusting for her neighbour's husband and giving false allegations on her friend's husband.

During a court session in Bare, Chiweshe, chief Makope heard that Ndaizivei Chijabvu and her neighbour Nunurai Mutsvangwa used to do some vending together before Mutsvangwa pulled off citing prostitution habits on Chijabvu.

Husband to Mutsvangwa, Musekiwa Tarubva approached Chief Makope's village court demanding to know if his wife had boyfriends from Chijabvu.

Makope heard that, Chijabvu used to come every Sunday morning at Tarubva's house while he would be still in bed with his wife undressed.

"The accused was in the habit of visiting the couple every Sunday in their bedroom and would seat at the corner of a bed disturbing their privacy hence the couple accused her of lust," Makope said.

After she was accused of lust Chijabvu moved about spreading malicious rumour that Tarubva was asking for sex favours, the trio went for a counselling somewhere in the village where she did not divulge about the sex advances.

"The court found Chijabvu guilty of lust after lack of evidence on sex allegations, I then asked what Tarubva wanted as ransom for Chaibva's shenanigans but he said since they are neighbours he demanded a warned and cautioned sentence on her hence  I gave her a warned and cautioned sentence ," Makope said.

Chief Makope urged people to be satisfied with their partners so as to avoid cases of infidelity.
