Mine shaft collapses kills illegal miner

Sombre mood has engulfed Mazowe mine following the death of a popular illegal miner (Mukorokoza) identified as Bhaureni who was trapped in after a mine shaft collapsed this afternoon while seven others cheated death.

Sources familiar with the incident allege people around Mashonaland Central province flocked at Mazowe(Jumbo) mine , mountainous areas on Monday where claims of gold are sprouting without much labour.

Unfortunately one person died on the first day though there is a myth which says if a shaft kills a person more gold will be found.

It is further alleged that members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP)are scrambling to guard the area in a big to partner with illegal miners.

Meanwhile, illegal mining is mushrooming in Mazowe and a lot of deaths are recorded in the area so far.
