Zim Media Review - @zimmediareview twitted that the Norton legislator Temba Mliswa has opined that Obert Mpofu should not have accepted his new post since he has been accused of corruption.

Zim Media Review said, "@TembaMliswa says Obert Mpofu should not have accepted his new post since he's been accused of corruption. Corruption must not be seen through factional eyes."

Mliswa is also reported to have said that he is disappointed by the Cabinet announced as many of those picked as Ministers hardly ever speak in Parliament.

Mliswa also warned President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his cabinet ministers that the excuses of sanctions affecting their operations will not be entertained by citizens as former Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith grew the economy under sanction.

"Note to the President and cabinet, We do not even want to hear any excuses and lamentations of sanctions or any such excuses. When you got in you all knew that sanctions were there. So we expect you to plan and implement policy with that consideration in mind. Ian Smith grew the industry under sanctions. The man built his economy and sustained a war while under sanctions," Mliswa twitted.

During Robert Mugabe's administration, the executive and the ruling party officials used to blame the economic failures on the sanctions.
