2 promising young Zimbabwean entrepreneurs make Forbes list

Bulawayo - Two young Zimbabwean entrepreneurs have made it onto the Forbes Africa list of most promising entrepreneurs to watch under 30.


Takunda Chingonzoh, 22, co-founder, Neolab Technology, the award-winning start-up he founded with partners Jabulani Mpofu and Blessing Mukome, works on pioneering technology for emerging economies. Neolab, which Chingonzoh calls 'the start-up factory', works in close conjunction with the National University of Science and Technology in Bulawayo, and the students, training and getting them to work in teams and turn concepts into sustainable start-ups. Chingonzoh was only 19 when he started the venture, after acquiring a Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying. Chingonzoh is also a YALI Washington Fellow, the 'youngest in 2014,' he says.


Clinton Mutambo, 25, is the brains behind the recently launched esaja.com - a business network that is dedicated to intra-African trade. Esaja stands for empowering solutions and joint action. So far, Esaja, with it's "Big Business" philosophy, has extended its footprint to over 15 countries throughout Africa and is enabling trade across the continent's various sub-regions.
