While he has rocked many of the country's stages as a stand-up comedian, one of the country's most prominent funnyman Carl Joshua Ncube is now ready to take the country's film industry by storm as he is penning the script to an upcoming film.

The comedian revealed that he was teaming up with the man who created the movie Lobola, Joe Njagu, to create a romantic comedy set in the resort town of Victoria Falls to the big screen.

Ncube said plans for the movie were already in motion after Njagu had given a script he drafted the thumbs up.

"Celebrated film producer and director Joe Njagu asked me to write him a screenplay of a romantic comedy set in Victoria Falls and he has just approved my first draft," Ncube said before sharing a mock up poster of the proposed flick.

Njagu only showed his approval by noting that a "storm is coming to Victoria Falls".

Njagu has become a torch bearer in local film circles in the last few years as both producer and director with the last film he produced, Escape, turning heads in the country for its steamy scenes.

Ncube on the other hand, has become one of the country's major ambassadors for local comedy, going on tour in Asia while he was also recently acknowledged as one of the continent's best when he was nominated in the Pan-African Comic of The Year category where he battled for honours alongside Bright Okpocha, Patrick Idringi Salvad, Fernando Filipe and Tshepo "Masapo" Mpiti at the Savanna Comic Choice awards.
