Former Miss Zimbabwe finalist lands TV role

LORRAINE Duduzile Mlambo (24), a model from Hwange has finally earned her breakthrough on the entertainment scene as she is set to present a new television show on ZBC TV.

The show Tha-rise will be is set to air on ZBC TV then on NBC and Mzansi magic by end of August.

The  2011 Miss Zimbabwe finalist said she is ready for the show and is confident it will educate, entertain and inspire a lot of Zimbabweans and Africans.

"This is a dream come true, I was born ready. The show will inspire and educate Zimbabweans and Africans especially the youths, as this will be a global show," she said.

Lorraine was the first runner up at the Miss Matabeleland North finals that same year in 2011 before competing in the Miss Zimbabwe. She did her Ordinary Level at Marist Brothers High in Dete in 2005 and Advanced Level at Eveline Girls High the following year. She has finished doing a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sports Science at NUST and is awaiting graduation at the end of the year.

Fame Management agency scouted her for the show and selected her among a number of potential candidates. The company will be producing the show and aims to invade the African market with this locally produced show.

The show aims to entertain as well as inspire youths. It will feature prominent business people among them Philip Chiyangwa and Strive Masiyiwa, as they will be interviewed by Lorraine. They will be profiled and from this, aspiring business youths and people will get information on how the business tycoons made it to the top from humble beginnings.
