One of South Africa's most popular house music disc jockeys and producer DJ Tira is set to perform at Horizon this Saturday, NewsDay reports.

Kasi Events Management director Lungile Dube told NewsDay all was set for the show that is expected to attract hundreds of the top DJs fans.

All formalities have been completed and tickets are now available, said Dube.

Dube said his music promotions company had decided to kick off the years calendar with a big star so as to show our patrons that we do not take them for granted.

Last year they brought in Oskido who left his fans asking for more.

I can promise Tiras fans that just like Oskido, he will perform until 7am. That is one thing we have agreed on.

He said the star disc jockey, who has been behind the success of most of Durbans house music disc jockeys, would land at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo airport just after midday on Saturday.

Those who would like to welcome him should feel free to go to the airport and meet their star.

He said Tira would then go on a tour of the city, meeting his fans before performing in the evening of the same day.

DJ Tira real name Mthokozisi Khathi has produced a string of hits with the group Big Nuz that include Umlilo, Ungesabi, Sphelele La, Wont Let You Go and many others.

He has his own house music label called Afrotainment.

Local kwaito outfit 3 Kings of Seqa Mabhilidi fame will open the show together with DJs Sbago, Keazy, Black Cee and Mphoe before Tira takes over until the early hours of Sunday.
